Yard Sale= Bigger Bicepts and a Bigger Wallet Expectations

Yard Sales: The best deals since Thrift Stores. It's truly the reason for the quote, "One man's junk is another man's treasure". Yesterday morning our circle had a moderately big yard sale. I got particularly excited about this because I literally jump at any opportunity I come across to make an extra buck. For a while I have wanted to sale a bunch of my clothes. I have learned though, that yard sales are not for a Teenage Girl getting rid of half her closet. The Hispanic and Asian people who came to our yard sale, Did not know the value of name brand clothing!!! I gained $20 and lost the seven-year-old dream of how magical yard sales can be.
I have an idea though! A way to get something in return for the clothes that I don't want anymore (because they are still cute, duh! and not worth selling for $2 at a yard sale).
I'm throwing a
C-PARTY! Yep, a "C-Party". C-Party: A party with the theme of the letter "C". The main attraction of this party will be the Clothing Exchange. Everyone can bring clothes and items they don't want anymore and they will have the choice to either exchange a piece of their clothing with one or however many pieces of someone else's clothing, OR sale the item (or article of clothing) to somebody interested in buying. Everyone will be asked to bring a dozen Cupcakes (homemade or store-bought). The party entrance fee will be $5 (for the cost of Cheese Pizza) and the entertainment will be either: Disney's Classic Cinderella, or Disney's Cinderella III: A Twist in Time. The party will be so much fun! My girlfriends will come, enjoy pizza and cupcakes and watch a classic movie with each other, all while scoring some new clothes and getting rid of the old! Clothing rules: Bring ALL stuff (items and clothes) that you don't want anymore (cute or not!) because after the clothing exchange, I am willing to take the unwanted stuff to the Goodwill. So bring as much as you want!
Well friends and family, I hope you like my Blog and the things I think about!
