I pretty much had a the best weekend i've had for a very long time!
Our show choirs at my high school traveled to Scottsbluff, Nebraska this weekend for a competetition and it was ALL KINDS OF FUN!
I've got to say i love my girls in Venus 2 much for words.
It was a little giggly that we all stuck together like sticky bunz, & there were boys present!
silly us! really. we were silly silly silly!
Our MOtel was pretty crappy, with a pool that was shut down because it didn't meet state standards
Oy
but it was aight cus friday night we had free time... and we had the choice to go swimming at the YMCA.... or to go
SHOPPING!!!!
Of course all the Venus girls chose shopping,
duhh :)
There were MAJOR good deals.
Like like all kinds of goodies at JCPenny for 2$ each!!!
We were hootin and hollerin and of course,
singing our pants off.
everybody told us good luck :):)
Which came in handy when
WE WON GOLD!!!
woot woot
The best part was...
2 of our girls' flats flew off
and i mean FLEW off.
thanks to the girlie next to me i was laughing my BUTT off the entire time.
and so was every girl who saw the shoes... luckily not everyone did.
when that first shoe came off, it was all over for me from there. i'd be doin my thang and think about it again and then smile like it was the best thing in the world.
At least i knew i was smiling the whole time!!!
And Tiara and I killed the ending pose.
we're the tallest of the group
kinda by a landslide
so naturally we were in the back on some chairs with these adorable diva poses.
im vry proud of my girls :)
And i dont dread doing choreography in class anymore because going to the competition really motivated me to be a better performer :)
OH JOY!
Can't wait for our next one :):)
Random facts about the trip:
Scottsbluff is a terrible town. i kinda missed aurora.
there was a BOMB guy in the Scottsbluff Show Choir "Choralaires"
Juanita and i were pretty much crying whilst watching this boy.
We went to an amazing steakhouse, called Whiskey Creek Steakhouse and i had the best cornbread i have ever had in my life.
im planning on freeing the animals from the scottsbluff zoo someday.
they looked miserable in the tiny spaces that were also unkept.
i wanted to cry :'(
it is almost impossible to sleep on buses! ours was even nice but me and juanita were all OVER the place trying to get comfortable.
i slept on the floor. :)
O. AND. Scottsbluff won for the 20th consecutive time in a row. they weren't amazing so tell me that isn't fishy.
&Congrats to our Top Show Choir here at Gateway, Athenians, for making it to top 5 (finals) when there were around fifty schools participating :)
I wanna be like them when I grow up!!!
