The Happy Book by Rachel Kempster and Meg Leder

The Happy Book is full of thoughtful and quirky activities and exercises designed to keep you focused on the positive. The authors mention in the introduction that the idea for the book sprung from a conversation with a friend going through a hard time, where someone suggested that she keep a list of things that make her happy. That pretty much captures the idea behind the whole book--a collection of what makes the authors (and their friends and family happy).Whimsical illustrations throughout the book and it's printed in purple ink. The message of seeking happiness from within, rather than looking for it on the action end of store register is subtle but poignant.
